(I) would start with a NEW filter if changing oils. I put mine in a turkey bag and saturate, Then Squeez out the rest in the same bag. Not WRING but squeez. And use the left over as chud said.
But If going to No Toil and cleaner I recomend starting fresh. Why not right?

I herd that using gas is bad for the filter.  But is it ok to use it once on a filter?  Will using it instantly damage it?
