No reply so far from MXA on how they got their weight number ("a 4-stroke engine is 15 lbs heavier than a 2-stroke"). Doesn't mean they won't answer; just haven't yet.

177, YZwoods tells me you have a wheelie problem...this is the case with alot of people when they jump on a bike with more power then they are used to. This is completly normal, the best thing to do it ride the bike for 45minutes to an hour and that problem will go away. Thats all it takes is just some simple seat time of adapting to the bikes power delivery.
Lets put it this way, when I was on the track with my buddies yz125...I almost crashed because I couldnt use all my 450's torque to loft the front wheel. I found out that I had to adapt and scream the SOB and give her a good yank while standing up to get the front wheel off the ground. This was a case of not being able to wheelie...lol

yeah i e-mailed MXA awhile ago but i expect it will take a while. my question is why they put a freestyler on their official shirt. i mean, come on, this is Motocross Action MAg. the best MX in the business and they put a freestyler on it.

Pin It, Has a good point on the issue of 2 strokes. And thanks for awnsering Bubbas question. PS. Still trying to get the stoppie on my 250. Any way, (i) Think the only problem with the 2 stroke is throttle controle and lack of expierence on a 2 stroke! If you grew up on them, Then its easy! THROTTLE AND CLUCH! What sux now days is that the factor of throttle and cluch went away! the use of the cluch and hi revs are gone. Back break and feathering the cluch... Gone! But Its not! All the big names.. learned how to use the cluch and trottle on the 2 stroke first. Just my opinnion! YZ WOODS.

i dread the generation who will not grow up on two-strokes. we will only hear it on tape in the future. almost everyone that rides today grew up on two-strokes. not too long ago, i read that ricky said that he loves riding his 4-stroke, but he will always be a two-stroke guy at heart. Here is what will happen to me in the future: Me talking: hey son, good ride, how's the suspension on your YZ150F? My son: its great, did you have one of these bikes when you were a kid? Me: no, i had a KX 100. My son: there is no such thing. Me: there was once, but i couldnt race it in the 85 class, i had to race it in the 125 class against 125's and 250F's. My son: daddy, whats a 125? ME: its a two-stroke, the 250 class used to be the 125 class and the 450 class used to be the 250 class, because two-strokes make double the horsepower blah blah blah. My Son: dang, your older than i thought. ME: yeah, maybe next summer we can go tom whites early years of MX mueseum and look at all the 125 and 250 two-strokes. Sad, isnt it.
