Has anyone on here ever put nitrous bottles on their 4 stroke? Im wondering if i can run 50-50 jet fuel and 91 octane and have a small nitrous bottle on the bike. Where could I put it and if so how much is that stuff? Anyone send your opionions here. By the way I ride an 07 yz450.

if you are talking about "avgas" DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT RUN IT. it will shorten the life of your engine and make for bad starting when cold. there are other things that it does bad too.

I wouldnt mess with any of that funky buisness with putting nitrous on your your bike. If your goiing to be putting money into that you could easily buy other easier and normal mods. Although i have a seen Nitrous on a kx500 built for hillclimbing, but thats getting into some serious hills.

The hills I want this for are staight up and down and my 450 doesnt have the power to pull up them. I know thats hard to believe but its true. What mods are you talking about? I also have to ride with my brothers cr500r and its a monster to ride with.

The CR500 is defenetly a beast. No way to keep the front end down on those things. Fun to try to tame it though. As bubba 177 said, Running Noz, And jet fule will deffenetly shorten the life of your engine! Even if you could jet it properly there just not made to run Noz. Could it be done? shure, But when you kick in the Noz and get on the gas i would give it a few runs before you snap a piston rod or blow out the gears. Even if it worked, To put the torq down to the rear wheel will be a whole nother issue. The hit will give you to much wheel spin to handle it with the cluch. And to back out of it to get traction will only defeat the perpous by losing momentum. I'm shure it is used on set up bikes. But on a stock 450, Not a good idea im my opinion. Just my 2cents. Sounds like fun to try though if you have a engine you could try it on and not sacrefice your bike.

Well I was told that maby noz might work but I really cant afford to hurt the engine so I wont try it then. I would bore the engine with one of those Ice Cube yz523 kits but they are EXPENSIVE and I was told that it would shorten the life of the bike as well. What are my options because this 450 doesnt pack the power that i need to have. It will out run that Cr500r in every spot until top speed. What sprockets can i use to get the bike to top out at about 100mph? Will the stock motor pull hard enough for it?

Hey, Why not just get a extended swing arm and linkeg and chain and paddle tire and stick it on that 500. You could switch it out when you want to hill clime. That 500 will get you up that puppy with a quickness! Keep your body waight over the bars and hang on for dear life They use 2 stroke 500's for hill climbs the most anways. If you do, I for one would love some pics!

well that 500 is my brothers and we ride together and he wouldnt let me do that to it. He said though that he would rather trade me bikes though caz he loves the way the 450 rides. hes 260 pounds and the 450 hauls his ass around.

I know some rider who mix jet fuel in their bike and it works but it does shorten the life of engine these guys I know tear apart their bikes ever couple months to repace smokes piston rings. Nitrios? you cant aford Mods but you have the big bucks to run Nitrous? the guys who run Nitrous tear apart the engine almost every day or in between runs. you cant aford to do that so dont do it you end up with a broke peice of junk. you best bet is to find some where that sells VP racing gas and run a Oxygenated 100 octane unleaded fuel and or some other brand racing fuel.

I bet it does lol. I wouldn't trade. Riding a 500 2 stroke isn't even fun on a daily basis. You spend more time trying not to get hurt then having fun. Not shure on the sprocket question. But its a good thought. I'd call your dealer and ask them whats the most you can lose on teeth and keep the rev and traction. Hey, What year is the 500, And your 450?

VP fule here is 30$ a gallon. And its still not going to give you what you need, And thats a 2 stroke set up for hill climbing. They use 2 strokes for the hit and power band and high rev. And use pipes and extended swing arm and waight the front to controle the power and put it to the ground. And the front suspention is set up to not rebound on impact the way a stock bike does.
