125: KTM 144: KTM - I think the 144 is legal in the 250F class 250F - Honda or KTM 250 - KTM 450F - Honda or KTM

Read the entire thread please. I made this almost a year ago. When I was a newb, yes you heard that right, I was a newb at one time.
I am actually getting a 250 two stroke because of the new amateur classes, I am allowed to race it against 125's and 250f's. Probably a yz250, well it depends could be a KTM 250 sx, not till next winter though. or it could be a crf250, but I would rather it be a two stroke.

I don't think any bike you can buy today is bad. It really comes down to preference. I like the feel of KTM bikes, especially the hydro clutches.

Never had the perivlage of a KTM. One day I'll get on oneif their dumb enough to let me ride it. I agree any bike modern bike will do. There are so many bike I would take in a heart beat.

I found that KTM's are a hate or love it type of bike. They aren't bad but they are definitely different from a Japanese bike.

My neighbor is a diehard KTM fan. They own probably like at least 5 different KTM's.

KTMs are not better than Japanese bikes, they are just different. They have their advantages and disadvantages just like any other brand. i have found their advantages are very strong though. I have found KTMs to be extremely reliable, the components (clutch, wheels, chain, bars, brakes, etc) are all top notch, and they have a slim feel.
