I never said they were bad or good. Like I said its a hate or love it bike. If you hate it your going to think its bad, if you love it like you obviously do then your going to think they are at the top. It just really depends with their bikes because they are different from Japanese bikes. Yes every bike is different in their own way, but Japanese bikes are all relatively similar, while KTM are European and you can definitely tell.

I agree. I can't tell much a difference between a Yamaha and a Suzuki. I want to ride one of the Aprila SXV 550s, I hear they are absolutely insane.

Best bike??

i believe the best bike is one that you feel most comfortable on, and then modify it to your needs.
try out some of your buddies bikes and see how their bikes feel. being comfortable= riding safe...which should always be number one  priority. everyone is different, just because someone says the "best bike" is "blah blah blah" doesnt mean its the best bike for you. everyone has a different riding style. you could have a fast bike but what good is that if you arent comfortable on it? The magazines have staff with years of experience and will tell you why "such and such" bike is good for "such and such" rider. so much factors into it but in the end the biggest factor is how comfortable you are on it.

A majority of message boards that sprinkle the internet prefer that new members do a "search" before posting a new thread regarding a reoccurring topic. We will probably tend to have new members that will bring old threads up.

this is an excellent post on the "right" bike for you.  I know from personal experience that having a bike that fits my style makes a huge difference for me.

I'm with LOVELL and PaulB14. I bought and raced a tricked out crf405 and didn't ever seem to fall into the groove with it. An 07 KX250 2 stroke is my current bike and I love it. There is no best bike... it's mostly to do with the rider anyhow.
