Hey Guys,
Is it just me or are most of this anti4stroke nazis just being dumb. It seems like everytime I get on here I see someone telling the world how 4 strokes need more maintenance than a 2 stroke and cost more. Get your facts straight. A 4 stroke will go much longer than a 2 stroke on the same rebuild. Almost double to triple the time. They dont brake down hardly ever. The top end isnt much more $ than a 2 strokes either. If 4 strokes weigh so much than why does a yz250 weigh more than a yz250f. Its the same size. Now I love 2 strokes and I think they are funner to ride but shutup about 4 strokes because its not true what a lot of people are saying. Does anyone else feel this way? Or should we just switch to ELECTRIC BIKES because that is what is next. Now I have to look like the DirtRider Party Pooper caz of this.

Why does anyone that disagrees with you have to be a nazi??
Are you sure you have your "FACTS" straight or could you be alittle bias toward your bike too??

i have nothing against 4 strokes (especially after riding the 98 yz400 when it was new) but you cannot dispute the COST of maintenance long term. the yz250 is 7lbs lighter than than the 450 (per yamaha) and until reciently they were in the same class . the yz125 is 14lb lighter than the 250f. the yz450 is arguably the most reliable 4stroke made but most reliability concerns are with the 250f's

And i guess at the end of the day its like comparing apples and oranges...2 totally different bikes! Maybe 2-stroke riders are getting twitchy cos the 2-stroke is getting pushed off the track, so to speak. I'm riding a 2-stroke. But damn, to be honest i dont care rocks what anyone else rides! Do your own thing!

I think alot of the controversy would go away if they raced four and two strokes in different class.  I love 2 stroke every thing about them, the smell the pw band and the addrenaline.  but I ride a yz450 go figure I love it to

Thats the bottom line. You can like both!
If i were to race track you would see me on a 450f.
But i love my YZ250 SX bike in the woods.
I do disagree about another class. The AMA has already screwed things up with the displacment issue that it would be even worse. All they need to do in (MY) opinion is let the 2 stroke run the same displacment as the 4.
But people will buy what they feel good on.
And thats cool. As long as your out there riding!  Welcome to the board blue_! Any pics of your bike???? WE love pics.lol

I wasnt talking about the main people on here. I could have bet excacly who was going to repost this to. I dont know but it really pisses me off when people not only on here keep putting down 4 strokes when the jholes havent even ridin one and tell their friends how unreliable they are. As far as Im concerned they can just go ride mopeds for all I care but they should stop with the bull.

Don't worry about uninformed people.  If 4-strokes were as bad as some say no one would own them.  Last time I went riding I saw quite a few happy riders on them.  I prefer 2-strokes but like YZWoods, I like them because they suit my style in the woods better.  If I rode mostly track I'd be on a 450F.  I say if you like your thumper then roost the next "tool" you see.

97 i understand your point. 4strokes are reliable if maintained properly. my *** is the cost to maintain them properly and the much higher cost for repairs if they do blow up.

It's funny you say that HareScrambler, I think I'm the only guy at the track with a 125 2-stroke and ive seen a few 250's. Everything else (90%) is 4-stroke.
Personally I'm also pro environment...viva la 4-stroke!
