I would like to put a flywheel weight(13oz)on my 2008 kx450f to tame it down for the woods, but I have been having trouble finding a place online that sells one saying it is specifically for my bike. Otherwise the bike is a blast to ride, however I have entered a whole new level of arm pump-haha any help would be appreciated

well you are going to think this is wierd, I do not reccomend what you are doing with the flywheel. Kawasaki tried to tone down the 450 in 08 versus 07. I would reccomend in stead putting on a rekluse clutch. I know this sounds far out, but it works. I hav a 15 yr old riding a 450. Actually he races it off road and we had some problems of him killing the bike in tough rocky and log sections. I will tell you that you need to pay attention to jetting and make the idle a little higher. the clutch will allow the enigne sped to remain constant and actually let yourun a gear high on the log obstacles if needed without stalling. try it out... it works!

I have a 2007 kx 250f had the same problem in the woods. I changed my sprockets to 12 & 52 works great. Changing the clutch will also work great. I heard you could run into problems with flywheel weights. Good luck
