Thanks, just looking for some maintnence advice. Also what I should be looking for. I have the kx250 ttr 230 and kx125 06 Got a screaming deal on all of them. I just signed up for a small engine class. thinking that might hel. the 250 has oil coming out of exhaust is that normal. I know it uses mix fuel. Having hard time keeping it to idle. Also the 125 sure is hard to start seems like it flood easy. Its brand new hasnt even been broke in. Yes manual came with the two kawasaki

As for the 250 having oil come out the muffler, Some is normal. If its ALOT then you may be allitle rich,Or the muffler needs a re pack. If the bike is running fine, And your plug is a nice gold brown and its not alot out the back then its fine. As for the 125,Its brand new and sounds like your giving it gas when starting it. Pull the choke all the way up,And kick it without touching the throttle. After it starts, Let warm for at least a min ot till you get good throttle respounse with a little blip of the throttle. Common mistake. It needs no gas to start with the choke on. If you give it any it will start to flood. In that case Open the throttle wide open keep it there and kick hard.(250) Read your manual top to bottom! Check tire pressure,Clean air filter, Drain case oil and replace to spec,Fresh mix, Check spokes,Chain lag and oil. Coolent Top off. Grease and lube all. I also like to put in a new plug so i can read it and see how its running starting freash. Then set the sag to your waight. check cluch play and throttle play, if needed re adjust to spec in your manual, Then adjust cluch on the perch to where you like it. Go around the bike and make shure all bolts are tourqed to spec. (need tourq wrench) A must have! And thats a good start place with a used bike. This way your starting freash and if there is any problems it will be alot easyer to identefy. Hope this helps And again, Welcome to the board. PS. My advice is alot better then my spelling! lol YZ WOODS.

Up load it to photo bucket, then Copy the IMG code then past it here. And after the break in on your bike,You will set the sag,Then it can be loward some through the suspention.
