fmf power valve spacer

i have a 03 kx250 and i just baught a fmf fatty for it and it came with a power valve spacer and i have to pull the clutch side cover off to install it and dont really want to. i was just wondering if that makes any difference and should it be installed

FMF would really be the best people to answer this... sometimes they consider a part optional, but call them before you do it.
