Honda Dirt Bikes Forum

Hey everbody i dont much about dirt bikesbut i just bought a 1996 cr125 and i was wondering if you could buy a brand new crate motor and whats a good website for parts?  

You can buy a motor directly from honda, but i would really ask yourself what parts you need as well. if you need alot, and the motor you might want to look into just selling the bike and getting something better as the motor will easily cost you a grand at the least.  

The great thing about dirt bikes is everything is replaceable.  Instead of buying a new engine spend the money to have the one you got ported.  Put a new top and bottom end with new bearings.  Change the reeds, clean the carb, and replace the packing.  The bike will run like new for less money.
