Tag - I'm it!
OK - on the top of the fork (dead center) there is an adjuster. This controls the rebound damping. The more you turn it in, the more of a damping effect you get (ie; turning it in creates more damping which slows the rebound of the fork). On the bottom of the fork is an adjuster - this is the compression damping adjuster. The more you turn it in , the slower the forks will compress (or the more they will resist compressing). Make sure to set both forks the same.
On the shock.. on the piggyback reservoir behinf your kickstarted is the compression damping adjuster. It works the same way as the compression adjuster on the fork. At the bottom of the shock is the rebound adjuster. It works the same way as the rebound adjuster on the forks.
Does that help?

Thanks! Was getting dizzy again. LOL. I let my mech do the suspention work on my NEW bikes. Just smart. But Used to do my own before getting new. DON'T MISS IT! And was never real good at it. Ride ,Adjust,Ride, Adjust. lol. Then diel it in and gotta fix somthing els!!!LOL. I'v spent count less hours wrenching and not getting it right because i dint have the manual or the internet to help. It was just hit or miss and some poliroids to help me get it back together. Those were the days....Oh...Sorry

I HATE, HATE, HATE doing any kind of suspension work. I know how, but I really don't want to - see me and Woods are old, and with age comes a degree of... how shall we say... financial comfort. So.. we pay other people to do our dirty work ![]()
Yeah - I remember those days... knee deep in an engine and no internet in sight. These kids nowadays have now idea how good they have it!

leonel125: hey guys i'm trying to adjust my supension because when i land my bike is bouncing back too much. please be very specific about were are those adjusment need it because i'm not too good undestanding all the suspension terminiology and their location. thanks cr125 2002.
Skip and YZ have the basics covered; but one question. How much time (hours) are on the bike? Being a 2002; if ridden alot its also very possible the forks and shock especially may need servicing.
While adjusting will help, if they are in need of new oil, adjusting is just addressing the symptoms, not the cause.
If the bikes suspension was OK but over a bit of time has begun doing this and getting worse; I would suggest possibly having them serviced. You don't have to spend the money on a full re-valve etc, but oil change and new seals if needed may breath a lot of new life back into them.
I also hate working on suspension, I let Factory Connection do mine (very happy so far...)
