hi, i was wondering if you can turn any dirt bike street legal. im pretty sure that all 2 strokes are out of the question (like my yz 250)but since im turning 16 and gas prices are almost at 4 dollars a gallon her in CT i wanted to buy a 4 stroke but the only enduros that kawasaki and yamaha sell are 250s and after owning a 250 s stroke a 4 stroker wont feel the same. so is there any way to make a dirt bike street legal if i wanted to buy a newer bigger one?  

You CAN do it, but you shouldn't... these bikes are not built, nor are the geared, for street use.  Don't buy a newer/bigger one - just buy a cheap dual-purpose bike for commuting and saving money on gas.

I did get to ride a 500cc 2 stroke GP bike some crazy dude managed to get a plate for in MI.  Those things are insanely fast.  

i saw this street legal ktm450 flying down the road, right by my house. i wanted it.  

The KTM 450EXC comes off the dealer floor street legal.  It is still not geared for street riding and will get really buzzy at regular road speeds.
