Ok guys, first post here and i have to say this is a pretty awesome site. but anyway, im new to the bike side of this sport and i am soon to get an rm125. ive rode quads all of my life but my money situation is tight and im buying a buddys bike fo cheap! My ? is, due to my weight i want to go with a lower geared sprocket setup. what tooth do you guys reccomend. ive rode the bike plenty and it has the power to haul me around,(wiseco,.020,vforce reeds etc.) but like i said im no small fry, so what teeth would i want front and rear. i was thinking one off in front and 2 more in rear. is that the norm for bikes? my other ? is, the bike needs fork seals, what all needs to be replaced and any reccomendations for brand or type. thanks guys and sorry for the long post. derek

Welcome dRockw. I would do no more then what you stated for the sprockets. And try and find a local guy to change your fork seals and oil in the forks. If there is no local suspension guy then try the dealer. You can try wipping out the seals first, there might just be a little dirt under them.
I love this dirt stuff.

i got a rm125....it has no bottom end and just highs hard about half way threw......you don't need a sprocket change....you need to learn how to run it on the top end.....sprockets aren't going to make a huge difference (only if your going like with a hill climbing set up) but if your going to need to change the sprockets...id say you could play with them.when i first got mine, it was at 12/49 i think. i am running 11/52 on there right now.....didn't notice much of a difference
![woodsrider adam]() thanks twist for the awesome pic

see, i ride woods alot. i come from a hare scramble back ground on a quad. and yes, the rm doesnt have torque but it pulls fine. and hills are exactly the reason i was thinking of the sprocket change. i would just likje it to hit the power band a hair bit faster for tight woods. i think i will try the front first. what tooth do you guys recommend. is factory 12 or 13?
and on the fork seals, my buddy and i are both auto mechanics so we should be able to get the seals with a little help from the computer lol! thanks again guys.
