Drop the needle to the 2nd clip and open the air screw up to 2 1/4 turns out - adjust the fuel screw form there until you get the best throttle response. Run 32:1 premix, and you should be all set. The stock 138 main jet should be perfect for your altitude. If it goes over 90 degrees out, run the 135 main.

the airscrew is brass, and recessed in a hole, and takes a flahead screwdriver - does that help? You should see it on the left (shifting) side of the motor.

I'm sorry - I typoed.  it should have read 'set the airscrew at 2 1/4 turns and then adjust the airscrew to get the best throttle response' - there is only the air screw.  Sorry about that! D'oh!

The BIG difference on this bike is leaning the needle by moving the clip from the stock 4th postion to the 2nd position... it makes a HUGE difference!

The needle is in the carb.  You have to take the top off the carb, and the slide will come out (along with the needle).  If you are going to do this, I'd highly recommend having a Service manual for your bike handy...
