I want one too, i'm having a hard time deciding on whether i want to get the 144 or a 200 xc (when i get a new bike =P maybe next year).

There is no replacement for displacement! Go ahead and buy the Service Honda CR500. It's the last bike you will ever need... because:
A. It will kill you on the first ride, and dead people don't need bikes anymore
B. If you somehow manage to survive, you will NEVER outgrow it

From what I read in DR the 300xcw sounds like a good bike.

That makes it unanimous! It made me want to go out and get one. The best of both worlds wrapped in a 2stroke.

144? I wnat one sooooo bad. CR500AF? It is my death wish. 300XCW with the electric start? Where can I get one? I love 2 strokes. I love dirt bikes. Too bad I don't have a lot of money.

I've got a 06 YZ 144 and it's the perfect ride for me. there is a big difference in a 144 and a 500. I used to race a KX 500 and it was just too much bike, even to mess around. The 144 is a sweet bike, but I shattered my wrist on 05 on a 125 SX, KTM suspension is squirly and the rake is so flat, it just feels alot different than any Japanese bike. Just so you know the 150 SX for 09 is still a 144, but the AMA rules allow you to run a 250 2 stroke, in the 250 F(lites) class.

when can we get rid of these lites names. the pros have dropped the lites name, so should amateurs. its called the 250 and the open class now.
