alright...well its all finalized. im getting a yz250, i have enough money with working any that to get around a 2005 or older. so if you had about 3 grand, but wanted to save a little encase something goes wrong with the bike. so around 2800 maybe.....who knows by the time i get the bike ill have a little more money. so 3 grand....what year would you get. i like that 2005 had the al frame, but did the al frame really shave that much weight off....does it handle better, is there a year(s) that i should stay away from. thanks, adam

It's not only the AL frame, it's the SSS forks too - try to get the 05 or later - you should be able to get one for your budget. None of the years are bad, but the 05-08 are definitely superior.

Oh - and when you get it, let us know so that we can send you the secret decoder ring and the map to our hideout!

I want a Decoder ring too!  I have an aluminum frame.  Does that count?

I have a  97 Yz250. Steel frame and usually leaky forks. Can I at least get a secret piston ring? lol
Is the hideout painted yamaha blue? What kinda graphics are on it?

It is painted blue!  Tigger is the Master at Arms, even!
We've completely wallpapered the inside walls with aftermarket stickers of all kinds

I'll get a ring ordered up for ya!

Nah - Tigger just sits outside the door getting hammered and smoking cigars.. if you try to get past him though, the claws come out.  Real sunofabitch, that one...

Read that aricle I emailed you, and you'll get an answer to that question!! (Page 68 on the doc, or 58 in Acrobat)

Personally, I'm a fan of case reed induction, although I've been keen to try the Orbital design - never had my hands on one..
