I'm guessing its because its a reliable, well built machine thats not already a finicky jetting ape (sorry cr guys)  

You know what it cost me to dyno my cars? And they like me Thats cool to have that access.

The dyno has been a godsend for me Woods, and yes - your post cracked me up

As for why I picked the YZ250?  First, and I hate to hurt any 4T owners feelings, but... it's stone cold reliable, and I can rebuild it in an hour if I have to. Second, EGT as a mechanism for tuning is more instructive than o2 - I really wanted to do EGT, and o2 just doesn't work well with 2-strokes, whereas EGT is critical with the ring-dingers. The choice was really made for me...

ML - no slicks here.  My main issue with dyno tuning is that we don't ride on dyno's - we ride on the dirt with knobbies.  Occasionally you will hear me pick on PC's jetting data - although they should get a HUGE pat on the back for being so kind as to provide this data, it's been my experience that bikes jetted on the dyno are a little too lean for comfort for MX riders, and a little to rich for trail riders..  by testing this bike in the actual environment we run it in, set up the way most of us set our bikes up (knobbies and all) - I'll get real world results to learn from and to share.
