i have yamaha yz 250.. how important is is to keep this clean. how often do you guys clean it ect. and finally lol whats best to use to clean it

I have the same bike. As well as alot of others here.
Search ( a clean bike is a happy bike) It's by me and stickied. Hope it helps.

A clean air filter is very important. I change my air filter as soon as it gets dirty.

Where I ride, Vegas, it is very important to clean or change your air filter often. I have a 99 yz250 with a K&N filter. Easy to clean and re-oil and helps keep down on costs.

How important is it to clean - well... you MUST read these stickies! In a nutshell, short of putting oil in your gas, it's the most important thing you should do!
Since when is Dirt blue??!!!

Keep an extra oiled filter on hand, than you can replace now and ride and clean and oil later.

I probably go over board, but unless its a perfect day with no dust, I change it to a fresh filter after each outing. Here is a link that explains why I do and how I do it...
