yz100 breaking up

Hey guys im new here good to be apart of the forums i would to see if someone could help me out here i have a 1982 yz100 replaced the piston bored a little over due to scares,new boysen reeds,new air filter..well im having this bad breaking up problem just before the powerband i say for about 7 secs then the powerband will kick in i was told it could be crank seals is that a possibly??or someone else told me it was a air leak but me and my dad checked the whole bike..checked the jetting cleaned the whole carb..please help if you can any more info just ask for it..Thanks.Keith

Breaking up coming into the powerband is typically the sign of a rich needle - try dropping it one clip position and see if it improves.

i just dropped the clip 1..i now got a better throttle respones but still breaks up..i just dont want to drop it off to a shop because i know its something stupid but they will charge me like 140 just to look at it let alone work on it plus labor..anything else i can look for..thanks!!

Well i recently traded this for a 1988 cr250 great bike that cr250 is starts 2nd kick scary azz bike
