Maybe old news for almost everybody here, but just wondering where Bubba got a new contract from for next year, I know Villapoto is taking his place in the green team but really havent heard about which factory team he's moving to.  

I heard hes under contract with a team but the team, idk off the top of my head, doesnt have a manufacturer lined up yet but its leaning towards yamaha

he has a contract for a yamaha team, cant remember the name of it but hes taking over reeds ride. the contract is only for this supercross season. there has been no official announcement but everyone on the inside is saying its true. they will probably announce as soon as the mx season ends

yes both their contracts expired. reed has already signed with makita suzuki. when the mx season ends stewart will probably announce his new contract with yamaha.

Sad to see Chad go, but Dang! Just the replies I was hoping for, kinda had my fingers crossed there for awhile. You guys think he was fast at a Kawi, put him on the blue machine and forget it   . Bias on my part. Love them yamahas.  

Im not sure on how it works but wouldnt kawasaki want to make bubba a new contract instead of letting him go since hes doing so good with them?

or is it his personal choice on what he wants to ride ?  

he has used up his welcome with his team and he really doesnt want to stay with them and his team owner doesnt want him their. im sure kawasaki still wants him there but hes not going to ride a non factor team just to stay with kawi. there is an open factory ride at yamaha since chad reed left them anyways.

normally when a contract is done, the rider is free to do whatever they want. they will get offered contracts from multiple teams, a top teir racer will normally only sign onto a factory race team. 1. because their is more money in their contracts, 2. the bikes are better, 3. mechanics and everything about the team is better.

so when a rider's contract is up they have a decision to make. decide if they want to stay with that same team if they get offered a contract or if they want to go to a new team. if the contract is up on a top racer they will normally not sign with the same team because they can make more money with other teams. top racers usually sign extensions before their contract is up. like how bubba did 4 years ago i think it was. he had 2 years left on his contract and he signed onto an extension to add 2 more years to it.
