Hi I have been riding a 1978 honda xl 125 lately and am looking to upgrade. I found a 1988 yz 80 for 300 dollars that just had the top end rebuilt. Is this a good bike for me? Is it faster then my 125 4 stroke? I am 5'7 and 120 pounds. Please respond quickly as I am leaving later tonight to look at it and the its either buy or not buy.

Yeah, I think it would be a good size. 1988 is a bit old tho, but for $300 and a top end rebuild, that is pretty good!

Ok thank you. Yea but ten years newer than mine is nice. and if I blow it up every year then it still only about 150 dollars to get it fixed. Also I can do all the work.
