yes that is completely true. i was 11 when i got my 80 and now both my ankles have chipped bones because the bike was too big for me.

Lol i completey get what your talking about. but it was different for me and others in the same situation before being told this lol. i had to buy my own bike and i wanted to get something i could ride for awhile. I caved and ended up getting a smaller bike lol. It is all about a balance between fun and respect though. and i think as soon as you get bored wiht regular old riding you strt doing even number things. to make it more exciting.  I dunno. lol i've seen an 11 year old 5"4' and like 100 lbs ride an rm 250 around for years and never get hurt.he had to start off and stop on stumps for awhile lol but hey its a ride ~pat

well ive always been known to push myself past my limits. that is probably why i am faster now. the bike was big when i got it but i learned to ride very aggresively on it. but my ankles are like that from the bike falling on them.

i get what your saying elko. i'm assuming you werent huge when you were 11? i have allways been big in height and weight for my age. so an 80 would not have cut it. which sucks because a kid like you who was more agresive could use my size to get a bigger bike and get really good. and compete with the old farts who need some younger racers to stir them up. ~pat

yeah. i cant remeber how tall i was but i was like average height but a little bit smaller with the weight and a little bit weaker. yeah i didnt get a 125 till last for a couple reasons like money but if i was bigger i might have been able to ride a 125 for a few more years.

yeah. how long have you been riding elko? there really wasn't to much options open for me with money, and my size when i went to get my second bike. I would have liked to get a crf250 or something along those lines. but i have come to really enjoy my 250.~pat

yep that bike was the best. unbreakable. took 5 years of hard riding for the top end to go. i've never touched the clutch in it and it still works like brand new. very fast bike. i had it pinned for about 5 mins on the road and no problems. i had to replace the shift shaft one time and that is the only work i have ever had to do to it. the only reason i know so much is because something on my 125 breaks every time i go riding. hbu u how long you been riding.
