i feel i can control my bike better with those springs, even tho its pretty hard suspension, but i rode my uncles 2002 kdx220 and it was alot smoother and handled bumps better, but found my bike had better control, but im just looking for some advice thx in advance

get them rebuilt. 2 years is too long to go without having them rebuilt. they will feel smoother and handle better. or get them revalved. revalving is your best option. if you send them to factory connection they will have them revalved so that they will work better for trails riding and they will also rebuild them too.

Changing your springs depends on your weight and riding style.  If you are over 200 lbs I would change the front and back at the same time.  My honda 450R stock springs are .46 front and .54 in back, so changing the springs to .47 front and .55 back would be a change but not one you will regret making.  Talk to a suspension pro and let them help you make the right discision for your personal settings.
