hi all, everyone who helped me out last time when i had major spark plug problems on my old bike (kx 125) please don't laugh at this thread but i sold the last bike and brought a kx250 2004 right here goes the bike runs fantastic when its running i could run it all day when i put a fresh plug in it but from the minute i brought it i would go out riding and when i had finished riding which could be an 1 hour or 5 hours it doesn't make any difference cus when i put the bike away and try to kick it up the next day the plug fouls so i then put a new plug in it then ill go of riding and the same happens again the next day it fouls another plug but when i take the plug out its got the usual oil and unburnt fuel on the end but it also has carbon build up as well so after i went through more plugs i decided to do a full top end rebuild so new piston etc i took my old reed valves out and 1 of the fins had a small hole in it so i thought that's my answer so i got some new boyesen reed valves put them in and tried that but that hasn't worked (apart from my bike running more smoothly) when i took apart the top end there was a lot of carbon in my kips system etc 1.all the jetting etc in the carb is factory standard 2. the mix i am using is 40:1 and the oil is bel-ray H1R 3. new top end rebuild 4. the plugs i am trying are ngk BR8ES,BR8EG,BR8EIX
ANY SERGESTENS ONCE AGAIN YOUR LOTS KNOLDGE WOULD BE REALLY GREATFULL

Here we go again! Have you adjusted the air screw? when you start the bike, if you leave the choke on too long the plug will foul.
Your starting to make CR's look pretty good!
p.s. Stop using the iridium plugs!

yes only have the choke on until the bike can run fine without it which is usually less then 3 seconds.

try and clean out your carb and if that doesent work it might be the weather.... i had the same problem with my kx250 and i called my dealer and got an anti fouling plug and it dident foul sence i can give ya the number of the plug if ya want but il have to look at it and get back to you ps my bike would do the same thing olney every 3 hours lol and that plug fixed it so i think you should try thatand also set your carb back to stock settings
