my rear shock on my yz250f has a little bit of oil on the tube, similar to leaky forks. my question is, does the rear shock need to be rebuilt or need new seals? the oil is not dripping on the ground yet, but does the shock need new seals just like your forks? i never really pay alot of attention to my rearshock but is this not normal? and if i need new seals would i have to take it in to a mechanic or would an average mechanic like me be able to fix it

factory connection can redo the seals for 55 dollars but they probably need rebuilt anyways and it will cost 95 dollars to get them rebuilt. your suspension is just like a top end it needs rebuilt just as often as top end. so they are probably in need of a rebuild. you should get both the forks and the shock rebuilt for best results

This is not normal and as elko6 says its rebuild time.

If there ever was something you should spend your money on, its the suspension. There is nothing like a good suspension. It can make your bike feel new and fast.
I love this dirt stuff.
