OK, here's the deal, carb is good and clean, brand new reeds, new plug and good spark. The bike was running 3 days ago but will not run now. The plug is dry when I try and bump start it, it will fire and run briefly if I pour gas into cylinder. Any ideas of why the fuel is not making into the piston?

Is fuel making it to the carb?

Yes! fuel goes into carb and fills the bowl- I even noticed that when I replaced the old reeds- they appeared wet with gas, thats why i went ahead and changed them.- Could a bad ring or piston cause this issue I having?

Have you cleaned the fuel filter? It sounds like a fuel issue.

When was the last rebuild?

I just got the bike from Craig's List, ran fine when I picked it up but had no bottom end power, think the rings or piston is badd not allowing fuel/air into cylinder?  Does that exhaust valve have any impact on this issue?   Thanks so much for your input!

A 125 doesnt have much low end power, but if you dont know the maintenance history of the bike, you should atleast rebuild the topend, and yes you should clean the powervalve.

You should buy the service manual for your bike before you attempt any of this.

Thanks chud!, I have a manual and I am currently rebuilding the top end, 1 last question for ya, If the carb has fuel, and the reeds appear to wet with fuel, could a bad or worn ring cause the fuel to not make it into the cylinder? Thanks so much for your help!!
