What size, weight, age, riding experience, and money are we looking at here.

IMO the make of the bike doesnt matter its the rider that makes the bike...look at Ricky for instance he won races on a Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki...put him on a Yamaha and he'd win with that to...dont get wrapped up in the brand just learn to ride it and ride it well...get good then speed will follow...it just happens and you wont even notice

if you are a good rider that has some experience then get a 125 is is about 2 times faster but if you are a begener then get a 85 because its lighter and easyer to ride

i dont understand why anyone is commenting on this. how can you suggest a bike without knowing the age, height, and weight of this person.
to keep 2 strokes and kid, i have an 85 and 125 and i have to say i am probably faster, no make that way faster in the woods on my 85. but its too small on the track. and yes 85's are harder to start out on. my friend tried riding my 85 and couldn't even get going but was fine on my 125. if you know how to ride an 85 you will fly. i know my 80 has pulled up on me many times flying out of a turn 3rd or 4th gear pinned.
