wtf leaning out???

ok guys i just bought a 91 rm 250 it has a pro circuit pipe boysen power reeds a brand new top and bottom end and a .50 main jet instead of stock .45 the problem is no matter how i adjust it or how many times i clean the carb it keeps leaning out any advice thanx

Describe the lean condition! 50 & 45 sound like pilot jet sizes.

to add to what chud said what exactly are you adjusting, the air screw?

hard pinging with the needle as rich as u can make it and the air screw completely in high revving if u lean the adjustments at all

The air/fuel screw is all the way and should not be. The ping is pre detonation, And your needle is set wrong as well. Sounds like your getting air, A small leak and what mix are you using? What idle jet/needle is in there now? And are you shure on the main?

PS. What (I) would do is reset all to stock jetting and fresh mix and plug, And track it from there sounds like the jetting is WAY off and not how you diegnose a problem.
