well i went to dyracuse (sand land) to ride, there was about 1.5 inches of rain that morning. so pretty wet. there enduro trail (singal track style) was sweeet, but some of the puddles were very diseeving, there was one water filled rut i thought was maby a foot deep at the most, so goin in 2nd gear, i reaolized after i piched my self up from about 10 feet in front of my bike, that not only was the rut deeper than my front tire was tall, i reolized that a tree root made a nice underground front tire lock were i could tell other lucky people were able to find themselfs stuck it, then some spode that was on the trail in front thought to try and just drive out, so not only is my front tire in a pit in 2 feet of mucky water, my rear tire was stuck in abouther tire shaped pocket. there was about 6-10 inches of thick muddy slime under the water. i got 2 guys on atv's to help me get my bike out, it took about a half hour, then after that i hope on the trail, of course, my front brake rotor is bent(not horibally), but any time i hit water of get in mud, i have to pump the brakes about 3 times before they swelled up to good usable pressure.....perfect A WEEK BEFORE MY FIRST RACE.......    , but other than that if was pretty good, and i guess im good in sand because i kept up with an ex 250b rider, and still had a little room before out of control fast. it was really fun and i loved passing the guys that couldn't build up the courage to just bomb the puddles/mud section, and were ending up just walking there bikes. the trick in sad and ruts is to not look at the ruts, but look way ahead on the track, and just float.   so at the end of the day i managed to completely cover my bike in mud, bend a break rotor, wreck a pair of gloves, get both my jerseys full of mud, somehow get mud up into the top of my helmet, where a chain out, get sand in everything, and i mean everything(exept the motor )brake my super high tech helmet cam(woods, skip and a few others, i think you know what im talking about) and not foul one plug......a GREAT trip(thats not even being sarcastic) it was sweet. ill post pics of my yz tomorrow after it stayed in the sun to long and tanned its blue skin to dark brown

thanks twist for the awesome pic

sounds like fun minus the rut. my riding this weekend got ruined by a non-bike relate injury. i was so mad at the city they put this huge pipe across our driveway (they are replacing all the water pipes under the road) and neglected to tell us, so i hop on my mountain bike (this is like midnite) to go visit a friend working a night shift at his job. im going down my drive way one hand on the handle bars the other scratching an itch on my face. the next thing i know im lying face down on the pavement wondering wtf happend go to get up and pains shoot threw my left side, look back see this huge pipe going across my drive way. (i had injured my ribs the week before at the track). i thought nothing about it hopped back on my bike go to visit my friend go home and go to bed, i wake up the next day and i can hardly move my side hurt so much. well 2 days later my side doesn't hurt much anymore .. but boy was i pissed.

Sound like a good ride all and all Adam.
Have you been practicing your whole shots?
So you liked the bike in the sand?

I like sand, but do not like after sand (cleaning plus the wear and tear on chain etc...)

Sounds like you had a blast!
