01twofiftyBG: has anyone swithched for their stock yami piston and rings to wiseco? let me know your opinions
masterlink: I put one in my 02 YZ250f this week. Had a bit of a problem getting the oil ring to stay still while i put the cylinder on . The bike started second kick and i've only driven it around the yard so far.
The true test will be this weekend. I'll let u know.
yea man definently let me know if u feel a performance change. im putting mine in next weekend when it gets here. i think all the early 2000's 4 strokes need a piston upgrade. if i had an 07 or an 08 i would keep it stock too fellas.
These are the daYZ 2001 YZ250F currently rebuilding top end *accepting donations*

I guess my first (easy) ride impression was really no discernible increase. But, today I took it out and hammered it through every thing. I was having a blast, but then i think i took a rock or branch at the radiator and developed a small leak and had to shut down early and go home.
but to answer the question about big HP increase w/ a piston change...I would say no. Weisco or stock I'm sure is the same. It just feels a little fresher cause of the new rings and added compression i'm sure.
