Well Im about to turn 19 and I always wanted a dirtbike when I was younger and my parents would not let me have one. Pretty much my dad wouldent let me get one cause his expierence on them as a kid and he knew how dangerous they could be. Well now they cant hold me back. I could buy a newer bike but im scared I might not like it as much as I think. I'm sure I will cause I love bikes and ATV's alot. Well how hard would it be for me to learn how to work the bike with the clutch and etc.

I am pretty much a fan of Yamaha as they have been good to me on outboards and other gear. Should i look at a yz 125 or a yz 250 and 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Also what about if I buy used what are some signs of looking for not so great deals or bad parts etc.
I know i am asking alot but Im ready to ride.

how tall and are you and how much do u weigh ? if uve never ridden before i would say yz125 is good u dont need to buy brand new unless u dont care about the price but ya anything 99 and up would be good i prefer 2 strokes easy to maintain and if it blows on you it will cost you much less then a 4 stroke would if you had to rebuild 125 would have a good amount of power just takes a lil bit of pratice and ya yamahas good also honda, kawasaki, suzuki, ktm are all good just look around for a good deal tehres a couple of things on the site to show you wat to look for when buying a used bike and what you need to do to maintian a bike check it out

Well I am a big guy. Im about 6'1" and weigh about 240 so It is a tall order. So likely for a first bike run a 2 stroke b/c of the easy cost of fix and easy to maintain. What should I really considered looking at as far as model year and average hours on the bike.

Thanks Chug

What type riding will you be doing?  At a MX track, trails, woods etc.  That can have a big impact on what type of bike.

get a yz250. like chud said your kind of big for a 125, they are made for 160. a 250 is a very powerful bike but if you take your time it will be perfect for you.

Sweet Thanks yea I kind of figured that the 125 was out of the question. I will mostly be doing probably trail riding and runnin through the bush but I do want to run the MX deal however not until i would be able to get used to running the bike for a while.

Thanks Chug
