J-Law is in trouble again. I believe in second chances, but this kid has had more than his share. It seems the AMA feels the same way. I think his suspension from racing the outdoor events will make it easier for his team to decide to drop him from his contract. Unfortunatly this buisness is based around very young kids. Kids who I think may not be ready to deal with such pressures that professional racing brings. I think the the age to turn pro should be moved up to 18. Hopefully this would encourage these kids to stay in school. A lot of maturing happens between the ages of 16 and 18. Ask any High School teacher and they will tell you the same thing.

I think everyone should do 2 years of milatary service right out of high school before they are allowed to do anything, job, school, MX racing, ect...

I agree, but I think girls should be exempt. I don't have a problem with females in the military. I just don't think they should be required. Before anyone jumps on me about equality I'll just say boys and girls are different and should be treated as such.

He has a lot of talent, its a shame it will likely never full fill its possibilities. I know he has had a rough up bringing; but I know a lot of people who did and over came it; so its possible.
To be honest; I got tired of hearing people making excuses for him; saying he "was a breath of fresh air for the sport" . TWMX current cover is J-Law saing he turned over a new leaf (I thought it was a Colbalt?).
Its hard to say how much those around him really tried to help or just went along for the ride; we weren't there.
Some young riders with a solid family structure (Ryan Dungey, Ryan Villapoto as an example) seem better able to deal with it.
All in all its sad, he is a very talented rider who was very fast and fun to watch.

I think JLaw has pushed it too far, he has been given many chances...maybe too many.
And you're right young riders w/ their family's support seemed to be well structured. Ryan Villopoto's family is always out in the crowd talking with fans... Up at Hangtown I was working in the Warthog Nation booth, Villopoto's mom, grandma & grandpa came up and started talking with my dad & I. They were all very nice and said they're praying for a good race for Ryan. Awesome family!
But anyways - I think Jason needs a positive mentor. And shouldn't be mentoring Josh Hill. Yikes! Maybe a few years of maturing as well.

I disagree.
J-Law is a complete dumb-ass. I never liked the rider and I hated the fact that Yamaha picked him up. He had no respect for the things that had been given to him, nor any respect for himself. He worked so hard and had so much talent racing MX and he goes out and wastes it away.
If he wants to party then he deserves to be kicked out of the AMA.
