Alright, i have a 02 cr125 and it ran alright 2 weeks ago but didnt have good compression so i rebuilt the top end. put it back together, tryed to start it and it started to leak gas continuously from one of the tubes. took the carb out gave it to a friend and he took it apart and cleaned it. when he gave it back he said the previous owner had the air/fuel screww all the way out and he turned it in and out inbetween 1.5-1.75 turns. it fired right up and i almost got the break-in done..until my last 30min ride around the neighbor hood it dies like a ran out of gas... i had a full tank of gas and that couldnt be the problem... i took the plug out and it was black and wet so i cleaned it and put it back in and turned the air/fuel a total of two turns out... it started and ran for a min and died, this time bogged when trying to rev it eighth/quarter turns..tried to start it again and it wouldn't..Oh and it leaks a little bit of gas out of one of the tubes when trying to start... got so fed up i put it in the garage and came inside... i mixed the gas 40:1 as instructions from the seller on the old piston and then mixed it 32:1 when i put the new topend in... whats everyones diagnoses

I agree with MJP68. Then it run awhile. If it comes out black and oily. You might have to adjust your needle. What position is the needle in right now? Also sounds like the float in the carb is sticking. You might have to pull it out and see if the needle for the float is installed correctly.
To be a winner, you have to know what losing feels like
