Ok so low pull on the bottom end is something I'll just have to get used to then?
I have ordered the FMF Q silencer. Thinking now about ordering a pipe too. Any suggestions for my bike? I was thinking the FMF Gold series Fatty pipe or the Gnarly. Which one would you guys recommend?

the fatty is really good all around pipe. the gnarly is good trails pipe. an aftermarket pipe isnt necessary though.

personally i would move the needle clip up (towards the top) 1 notch, if it pulls cleaner put in the 30 pilot and return the clip to the original position.

Ok so just an update guys. I went out riding today with the new jet and adjusted air screw and the motor still puked black goop out of the exhaust. SO I checked the crankcase/ trans oil level and it was down some, so I think that there must be a seal leaking oil.
Any ideas on which seal would be doing this?

it is possible the right (brake pedal)side may be sucking in trans fluid. top off the trans fluid and keep a close eye on it. im assuming you replaced the silencer already. if it is leaking you will have to split the cases to replace it.

no matter what you do its going to have black gooy stuff come out. if a seal is leaking then an excess of it will come out.

Haven't changed the silencer yet. It hasn't arrived yet. I put the old one back together as properly as I could. The goop is leaking out of all the connections not just the silencer. But could that still be causing the problem? and why am I eating trans oil then?

how much have you lost? it aint running out somewhere else is it? the only way you'd have ti coming out your exhaust like that would be somehowe you'd have to have piston blow by. snd i think you'd loose a lot of compression if this was the case would it not? you should also be able to tell the difference between the two oils. spooge, form hte not so efficient burning of two strokes i jetblack. very dark. whereas tranny oil would be different. it has a diiferent texture and smell too. ~pat

i say wait till you have the new silencer on. i think losing oil is natural, both my bikes lose oil over time.

a small bit is allowable. but if its a lot its not good and he nevr specified as to how much went down. he made it sound as if a lot was gone. that would mean trouble. ~pat

yes but normally if you start with some coming out the check bolt and 5 rides later and nothing coming out the check bolt. this is what mine does you have to be more specific.

i did read and some people dont realize that oil break down after it is used. i do think there is a high possibility that a seal is leaking. if the jetting is fine and your still fouling plugs this normally is a sign of a bad seal

I just changed the oil in the case before I went riding yesterday. We went for about an hour ride came back and checked the plug after still noticing splooge coming out of the exhaust. So I know the level was right full when I left and now I have to lean the bike over about 45 degrees to get oil to come out. So to me that is an alarming amount of oil to loose. and would prob be the reason I have so much spooge coming out of the exhaust combined with the possible jetting problem. It's hard to jet the bike properly with all the oil loss cause who knows if it's too much fuel or oil
I'm really staring to think that i'm gonna split the case and just replace all the seals and check out the bearings. This way at least I can start fresh with the motor. I'll prob replace the piston and rings and all the seals I can get at.
What do you all think??? I know it's a big job for a newb but I gotta learn sometime.

splitting the cases sucks, i no some people that have done it once and will never do it again .they are pressed together so your going to need a press and some special tools. i really think that is your best bet though. while your doing this you should look for damage done to the gears. chech to make sure crank is still in speq. check cylinder for speq. its probably a good idea to replace bearings, piston, ring. just so you dont have to worry about anything.
