i bought a 01 rm 125 for 1900 a couple years ago and gave it hell for almost a year before i decied to go through it and rebuild it. it took about a week to get all the new parts and everything else i ordered for it. i got it put back together and it was beautiful. next day some one stold it out of my shed. i was heart broken, but what can u do. so about 3 months ago i seen a rm at a car dealership and i caled about it and it was a 03 and they wanted 1600 for it. but i dint have the money at the time.  i seen it again last week agin so i called and they wanted 1000 for it. i went down ther and tried to start it but it was spiting alot of gas out of the muffler and wouldnt start. but knowing these biked pretty good i knew it wasnt nothing big. they took 800 for it and i took it home.  ok now they had the clutch oil filled to the top of the cap and the carb bowl overflow hose glued shut. i took the carb off and cleaned it and drained all the oil and replaced with the right amount. now heres the problem. it runs fine and starts easly its just when i get on it on a straight away it runs out of gas. if i just curise it will go all day but when i take off for 1/4 mile at high speeds it boggs down and either dies or if i catch it soon enough i can slow down and curise agin before i can take off again. it seems to me that the float bowl  is no filling up with gas fast enough but the gas comes out of the tank fast and there seems to be no  float issue, ive checked severl times. the spark plug stays wet and oily and there is nothing after market on this bike. this is a long post and i hope u have made it this far to c my prob. i love this bike and got a great deal now its just finding what this prob is.  

Sound like a main jet issue. no biggie. What jet is in there now and your alltitude your riding at. Chud can help on your cr. But thats sounds like the prob.
