well first off, the last time i posted on these boards i was trying ot figure out if i wanted an 85 or a 230 lol. about 8 months later i find myself on a 2002 crf450r haha. i just got it today and i love it! its so powerful!! but i just cant get good traction and i end up overreving the tires are in pretty good shape is there a tech. to this?? and also any real riding tips to help we through this learning curve? i have a 150cc china bike (piece of crap) so you can imagine the cure is pretty great.

heyy, i have a 150 china piece of crap too. jumped up to a 250 2 stroke so i was in the same boat as you about 10 months ago lol. your not going to get traction with that bike haha. its will spin the tires in 5th just rolling the throttle. you just gotta slowly accelerate else you'll be roosting everything. ~pat
PEACE GUYS ITS BEEN A BLAST!!!!! ~patrick

ok, well im an 18 year old kid and weigh 130 pounds who got on a 02 450 and love it, i had the same problem as u, the only thing mechanical i can say will help is soften up the rear spring, but other than that, no matter how u ride or how easy on the throttle u r, that back tire is always gonna b spinnin.
