ok so i saw this bike for 350 bucks it was a recovered theft was missing an airfilter seat and cdi and appeared to be ready to be parted out. so i got all the parts needs and a completely rebuilt carb. i kick it over to test the spark. dead!!!! so we used some electrical meters and were only able to get like less than 1 volt and the peak was 1.6 volts. we talked to a dealership and told em everything i told you and they said most likely the stator. i can get it for 150 new from moose racing. i also head that somewere inside the motor maybe near the magnito if water gets in surface rusts builds up and i may just need to get that off with fine sandpaper. this happened to my buddies suzuki ds80. so what are you oppinions boys!!!!! i need help.

im a 14 year old kid building a bike by mowing lawns. hows that for you =] yah money is tight.

nice. big money in that. call yourself a landscaper and you will make millions. no lie. start grooming up hedges and weed whacking peoples yards and you can call yourself a landscaper and charge people a lot of money.

Id check for broken wires or something disconnected.
A stator can be bench tested with a meter and a coil can be tested with a ohm meter as well. Its probably not these but use this link if u have the meter and you think its one of these.

well i just droped the cdi and sator/magneto thing off at a repair shop. they are ganna test it for me but they said if it is broken dont buy a moose racing one because they had numerouse problems with them but its half the price of oem. oeam is around 350 and moose is the only aftermarket. what do you think.

I'd say you have a faulty stator.  you are correct - 2 coils don't go that fast, and a new CDI shouldn't be giving you issues... all that leaves is the stator!

Did u try Ricky stator?
www.rickystator.com/

Its been my experience that most bike shops couldn't diagnosis a bad stator if u brought it 2 them in pieces!!

most likely they will tell u to get another one. Beware!!
