Just bought my first KTM. Its a 2004 sx 125 with a 200 sx top-end. The crank is a stock 125. I was wandering if anybody done this, and how long the motor will last if it doesn't have the 200 connecting rod? Thanks

I dont see a problem with the connecting rod...

if you are talking about the crankshaft itself, i would see if you can get that replaced... either way you will (most likely) run into more problems than you would if the bike was stock... the reason is, the motor is producing alot more tourque with the bigger piston hence putting more stress on the rod itself....

p.s this is just a guess, i'm not totally famillier with the ktm cranks so they might use the same crank in both of those bikes... but the crank is more than likely not supposed to be used with that piston....

hope this helps
