lol that reminds me of a guy i used to know that paints boats and he would stand in the paint cloud without a respirator while smoking a cigarette and he wonders why he has respratiry problems

Haven't gotten too much in my area. Usually a local will just down some trees across the trail.

We find our way around them.

I've heard some hairy stories tho. And when it gets extreme like piano wire, always report it. Thats not a person whose irritated thats a person thats insane.

That's tantamount to attempted murder, if not Felony Reckless Endangerment.

If I saw someone it, if any of my buddies saw someone doing it, or if anyone I met claimed to have done it - they'd spend the better part of the rest of their lives eating out of a straw and dribbling on themselves.

Boy that pissed me off!  The nerve of some a-holes. 'Save' a trail by trying to kill somebody.  Yikes!

i remember one time when i had a stupid loud dg on my 300ex which i sold to get an hmf lol. well this old guy with a pistol in hand and about a 10 inch dagger on his belt was yelling at us lol. i was so scared.

I was once speared on a MTB trail.  Some Yahoo thought it was funny to prop a branch in the ground after a blind turn.  Knocked my off the bike tore my shirt and left a good bruise and scratches.  If I was going faster it could have really hurt.

They have a thing for stringing cable across our trails, and burning stolen trucks in blind corners. I have seen one person shot, and have been in several large brawls over it. I taught me one thing, don't ever piss of the drunk rednecks(the guys i used to hang with) They usually have guns, and a bad temper. And I've had one a-hole pull a gun on me for being a Marine. We were four wheeling and my ford says Marine in bg letters across the windshield. Physco decided I was a bad person and pulled a 44 mag on me. THAT scared the *** outta me. Hes in jail now.

man idk see whats so wrong with what where doing. cars hurt the environment more than we do we make a trail threw the woods still completely inhabbitable. they make a 100 foot wide highway and is a dead zone for animals? we dosturb the soil?????? we turn it over!!!!! we create mud puddles???? who cars allows animals to drink and frogs to live in. im just a kid doing this and what ever i can to keep my out of todays life in teenagers smoking pot and drinking. this is my sanctuary and it helps keep me out of that!!!! god i get so pissed.

we have nothing like this where I live. there aernt many bikers and its ALL farming where I live (southern alberta, 40 mins north of montana, 40 mins east of bc, british columbia) so thats why they dont set up traps, theres one biker every five years that goes onto their land.

I also dont cross any gates and 99% of my riding is done on the back gravel roads.

worst thing someones ever done to our trails is edit the jumps, or a farmer once put a few small rocks about the size of a babies fist on the trail. it was a pathetic attempt. ive always wanted to try this though (not on a dirtbiker)

and about getting the cops, its a good idea, but honestly, are they going to do anything about it? probably not (at least ours wouldnt). reminds me of a few stories I heard, guy owed this drug dealer money, got a restraining order against the drug dealer thinking he was invincible after that, he still got knocked out. My parents got this 1.3 mill cabin in the middle of nowhere, it gets used 3 or 4 times a year. if you followed enough field roads you would find it. they think locking the doors is gonna keep it safe, half the cabin is all glass, big sheets of 64sq feet glass, if someone really wanted all the valuable *** in there, they would smash a window and load a few trucks. no one would ever stop them, no one would ever find out who did it. locking the doors is really gonna keep the place safe...

moral of those stories is sometimes you cant be completely safe, if you want things done right you gotta do it yourself. these "tree huggers" are obviously determined, if they wanna hurt someone, they will. they will put up more wire, how are cops gonna prevent that? they cant/wont..

and if youre getting guns pulled on you, youre probably not supposed to be riding there. otherwise I would find out who pulled the gun and he/they would be in ICU for a long time. then when they got out, they would need a new house, car, etc due to a massive fire.

and mtd. you got a lot of very good points there, but remember: weed ising a drug... its a plant. drugs are made with a hot plates, pyrex dishes, chemicals, etc.. and the injected into your arm

wow metal. never thought you were the smoking type hahaha. yes, locking cabin doors is only gonna keep the honest people that actually need something out. if there was some guy stuck out in teh woods for like a week and he stumbles across the house, and he sees food but the doors locked and hes an honest person he'll probably move on. whereas someone who wants something will just smash the windows. bad people are gonna get in no matter what. btw i stumbled across that video awhile ago and it sill makes me laugh! lol ~pat

It really easy to say that the guy who pulls a gun on you would be in ICU, but I've looked down the barrel of a gun and let me tell you, its not a place where you ever wanna be. Acting stupid never crosses your mind. And yeah we have land with cabins on it thats gated, and at least twice a year someone cuts  the gate lock and takes a truck or four wheeler across the fields and tears up jack *** But an honest person walks out to see the nature of the place because we feel we can't unlock out. Its crazy

actually i believe it is a drug. Quoted from dictionary,com "any article, other than food, intended to affect the structure or any function of the body of humans or other animals." seems like a drug to me. my point being is that it keeps me away from all that stupid crap kids are getting into these days and ruining their lives. not in all cases but some start with say weed and get bored of the "high" they get and move on to different drugs slowly proggressing.

I live in B.C and i ride in a bunch of different places, but the place we go the most, this old geezer bought the land, im not sure why, but fenced off a ton of great trails! It musta cost him like $15,000 to do all that fencing! Then he throws 'No Trespassing' signs all over the PUBLIC roads! Now we have an even more limited riding area! And it was all pointless! Grrrrrrr!

If he bought the land there no longer public. I hate to see a riding area closed off, but he may have plans or maybe he just enjoy his peace and quiet. Not everyone loves waking up to the smell of premix in the morning
