this past weekend my 2002 crf450 started to idle a little rough and sort of pop? but still preformed well threw the rpms. but everytime i would shut it off it would be come harder and harder to start. untill finally i stalled and i just couldnt start it back up. when i try to kick it, its really hard to get threw the whole stroke when i finally pushed it home i removed the plug and kick it and it was like slicing butter so im sure its not siezed. so im thinking its the valves? im reading through the manual and it says replace the shims and do some equation??? am i rreading the right part or is it really this complicated to adj. the clearences?

Ant I believe there is a step by step to valve clearance adjustment stickied some where on this forum.
I did a small right up the last time i did mine its not as thorough but it will give u an idea. keep in mind Hondas are a unicam design but the shim types are the same.
