is a honda xr 100r a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke and what type of oil should it recieve or oil/gas mixture

It's a 4-stroke, Dont know to much about the oil it needs.

it only needs strait gas in the tank but you need to but oil in the plug by the kick starter

it takes the 'good old' 10w 40 oil doesn't matter what brand but if its older id go synthetic then again if your taking it threw hell (water mud etc) the synthetic gets a little pricy when you have to change it everytime you sink it in water it takes about a quart if not a little more
when it rains pull it apart

yup, shes a 4 stroke, and i dont think the xr's require premium gas buts its worth looking into. its straight gas as a mathews said. a lot of people here will recomend and swear their bikes by bel ray gear saver oil for tranny's and the engine/motor oil. i personally dont use this because it is hard to get out where i live. so i go with 80w90 oil, which is what my manual calls for. some manuals call for 10w40 though. ~pat
