main 178

This is baseline jetting, but you will probably have to change due to elevation. What is your elevation?

run the 42 pilot and the 168 main - that's common jetting correction for this bike.

Stock needle is fine. Make sure to tune the fuel screw for peak RPM - it makes a BIG difference!

If you don't have an inductive clamp tachometer, just pick up an hour meter from the bike shop.  make sure it has a tach function.

Warm the bike up, and then set the RPM at 2200-2300 via the idle screw.  Now turn the fule screw in till it almost dies. Now turn it out 1/4 turn at a time until the RPM peaks.  You know you've gone 1/4 turn too far, when that 1/4 turn results in a drop (instead of a rise) in RPM.
