i just got a 93 94 dont know for sure on the year kx250 2 stroke new to the 2stroke but anyway my buddy that i got it from thought they where supposed to idle constant so he messed with the carb screw and now wont start he swears up and down it does run.I need to know how to adjust that screw and also how do adjust the clutch when i pull the clutch in and put it in first still with the clutch in try to roll it, it doesnt want to roll so iam guessing it needs adjusting right?And last but not least what kind of oil do i pust into the motor? because i see the glass and its empty unless iam completly retarted lol i believe that means shes empty.whats the mix for the gas lol sorry for so many questions but its my first mx bike since i was like 12 about 10 years ago thanx for your time  

i can answer 1 question,  adjust the clutch @ the lever, so the lever has about a nickle's worth of play between the lever and the perch, and it should be fine, if it keeps doing it, the plates might be sticking together from siting or the plates are warped, if the adjusting the clutch doesnt work, take the right side of the engine cover off, pull the clutch apart, keep them in the order they came out!!!! very important, check the plates for heat spots, oh yah i forgot drain the oil first , anyway check the plates for heat spots, see if u can tell if there warped by any way, then find out wat oil u are going to be puting back into the engine, and let the fiber plates soak in them for a bit maybe an hr or 2, then throw it back together, then top it up with oil to the middle of that eye glass, then see if it fixed it..

It sounds like you have the airscrew turned all the way in. Try turning the screw 2 turns counterclockwise and see if it will fire up.

k thanx i also check i have no spark the plug i can tell is getting gas now but no spark at all what would cause that  

could be the spark plug itself, could be the spark plug wire coming from the coil, could be the coil itself, could be the wires coming up from ur engine to the coil* the list goes on lol
