Coolant...

Alright guys, so I was reading my manual for my '92 RM125, and I was reading the coolant section. And it said I should use 50:50, coolant to water. But it said I must use distilled water? Why? What is wrong with tap water?

Just now reading it??? lol. Because tap water has clorine and chem that will corode the radiatore. But feel free to drink it lol.

if you line in the country and drink from a well you will be fine...unless you put chlorine pucks down your well...

lol...i wouldnt use our well water for nething other than dishes lol its got so much lime in it that it clogs up a sink spigot in like a week

hahaha we do. we put chlorine pucks down the well hole. lol nahh. we dont have lime either. a lot of rust though. we double filter it though se were set.~pat

yeah I dont do the puck thing but I have a water treatment system in my house iron remove water softner ultra violet light...the water guy said I could run ditch water through my system and it would be good to drink...good to know but I dont plan on trying it any time soon...
