Well I think anyway, thats why I am here. I was wondering if my engine is missfiring if its because of the RC exhaust valve. It doesnt missfire until it gets into the powerband and then it missfires bad, it also does it worse in lower gears. I think I may have caused this myself, you see I was riding one day in really bad wind and I was going home into the wind I had it in 5th gear pretty much the whole time. As I got closer to home I realized I was going pretty slow and my engine was bogged down alot and i was still in 5th gear. So I downshifted and ever since then my engine has missfired. So could what I did have made my RC exhaust valve lose its timing? Or is there something else that needs to be looked at to fix my problem?

can you start the bike? is there good compression? if you held it open for to long. you could have a blown topend. only thing i could get out of this. why would a wind do anything? can you explain what you did mroe clearly, and how the bike runs more clearly? like does it have nut. the power it used to? ~pat

If you had it pinned that long you better pull the topend and check it out and clean your rc while your rebuilding the topend.

Ok.... Yes i can start the bike no problems but i havent checked my compresionand. Also i didnt have it pinned to long, what i was doing was gassing it and lettin off gassing it and letting off. That way i wasnt full out the whole time. But to answer another question the wind would cause this because that day the wind was blowing in speeds up to 50 mph so it wasnt just any wind it was bad bad wind. But i was planning on taking it appart to look at the exhuast valve/topend, so what all should i look for besides the norm. Like i know to look for damaged bearings, shaft, rings, head, but is there anything else?
