I have been riding for half a year and I need some advice on getting through the whoops faster, without crashing.
Any words of advice?

How big are the whoops? Natural outdoor type or the man made stadium type?

look ahead of you. squeeze the bike with your legs. point your toes inside toward the bike, it help you keep more control over the bike. and ride them hitting each with both wheels or wheel over them. but do them like 4th gear pinned.
make sure your suspension is set up good. you may need to get your suspension rebuilt and get them dialed in for you to do them fast.

Squeeze the bike with your legs. Use 4th gear for speed and less chance of wheel spin. Tap the top of every whoop with your front tire, or it will go bad quick. Keep you weight centered.
And the big secret..... Drag your rear brake a little. doing so will help stop you bike from swapping.

3rd gear has too much power. you will flip and the 3rd gear is too short. you would have to shift in the middle of the whoops and that is definitly bad. and wheeling them isnt the best idea ever. the smaller ones yeah. wheelying them can be a lot faster but the bigger ones should be hit with each wheel. and you dont have to pin it. you can go as fast as your comfortable.
