150, Take apart your top end and everything will be black. over time that carbon builup will start costing you power and cause your rings to wear out faster.

Yes Bel ray H1R is great stuff.
Your mechanic is spot on. During the break in period you bike will need the extra oil to really penetrate until all the parts start to wear together.

stop giving bad information. a br7eg is way too hot for that bike. stock is a br9eg. if anything use a br8eg on tight trails and br9eg on open trails, or just rejet your bike so that it runs correctly on a br9eg.

Your mech is right in puting in 24:1. But only for one tank break in. 5 gallons is 2 tanks. not needed and can cause fouling. And drop in a new plug after break in. As for what plug? Read your manual and you won't go wrong! I'v broke in many new bikes and my bikes are good to go. And use Bel Ray H1R 32:1. Also flush your trans oil after the tank is gone. Replace with BelRay Gear saver to spec and you will be good to go to Also gease your barings stearing head swing arm ect...and re tighted your spokes and adjust tire pressure and chain lag after break in. It will need it.

Bel Ray H1R is the best but i run Pro Honda HP2 because it is a lil cheaper

there is a thread on how to break in an engine. i use 32:1 because you need the rings to sit right and the break in period is the time to get the rings to sit right and i feel if you use anything richer then that then they wont sit right.
