brytonhill: So pro privateers can ride 2strokes just not factory riders?
yes, unless their contract says they have to race a certain bike. even privateers have contracts to someone.

Do ALL riders hav contracts that prevent them from riding 2 strokes? Or is it because they are rich and can afford to maintain those pieces of crap?

Because they have contracts that dont allow them to race 2 strokes. and the ones that dont; either want to be like everyone else, on a four stroke, or they like 4 strokes more. Almost all the riders have contracts where they have to race a certain bike, though.

Oh. I don't see why everyone likes 4 strokes. I think they're boring. They have hardly any power band so it seems like ur going slower on a 4 stroke when ur going the same speed on a 2stroke.

The 4st also have an unfair power advantage.

it starts with the factories forcing the pros to ride the 4 strokes. So people see the pros on these bike and think that they must be better if the pros are useing them, so they go and get the 4 strokes. It also has to do with advertisement. The factories advertise the 4 strokes and not the 2 strokes, so the people are going to get the bike that they see being advertised.

So why do the factories want to sell 4 strokes so bad? Since they're expensive to maintain, I bet they're also pricey to make.

well not really. it doesnt make a difference to them because both bikes cost more to make then what they get out of sales, so they make more money off the 4 stroke parts and maintence to make up for the loss on selling the bike.

Oh I get it. Well I know it's a money issue ( just like everything) I'd just hate 2 see 2 strokes die.
