direct injection and efi are different. the rmz450 got efi on the 08 models. the crf's mx bikes will most likely get it on the 09 models same with the kx450f. the yzf will probably get next year or the year after. direct injection is for 2 strokes and efi on 4 strokes. 2 stroke dirtbikes will not get it unless they make a comeback. if the goverement were to force them to use direct injection the factories would probably stop making 2 strokes.

i knew there was a difference lol. i hope they start making them and selling them over here again. i'd love to put payments on a brand new yz 250 next year. with direct injection. ~pat

yeah i highly doubt that will happen, i cant wait till spring, i get to do payments on an 09 yz250 without DI.

let me tell u... KTM will probably make direct injection 2 strokes because KTM a move like their never gonna stop making 2strokes ... if they do this an other companies like yamaha who also say there not gonna stop making 2 stroke but not change anything to them.... if they see KTM sales go up they will start to make them...
