I just wrecked my new bike today, took a roll down the hill and my bike was on it's side (handlebars down hill tires uphill) for a good ten minutes while I tried to get it upright.  Made it down the trail and noticed gas was leaking out of the tube.  it stops when I turn the pit *** off, how do I get this to stop?

it is caused by the fuel vent hose leaking and also the carb overflow leaks shen the bike is tipped over

as for having a hard time righting the bike next time drag the bike around so the wheels are down hill than way you have gravity helping you out instead of lifting the bike twice as farr up to get pitch with the pull of gravity and the slope

I meant the pitcock, the reserve switch, but the thing bleeped me i guess.  It is a constant drip from the hose by on the underside of the bike

is it from a worn out cracked fuel hose
you have to explain to me where the gas is coming from better
is it from the carb you know how to find the carb right

if not its ok i will tell you how to find it

My bike is brand new so nothing should be worn out.  The gas was coming out of one of the 3 black hoses underneath the bike, that looks to be coming from the carb but I am not sure.  It is a constant drip that stops when I turn the reserve swicth off.  The hoses look like drainage hoses.  Does this help any more?  Please help!

so it only drains when the fuel valve is turned to reserve not when it is just turned to on?

is sounds like a stuck float valve and all you have to do is clean out the carb with carb cleaner try this ans tell me if it stops leaking gas

Thanks I will try that.  I heard that if the float is stuck it won't run.  But my bike runs fine.

well if it is stuck off then it will starve the bike for fuel
but if it is stuck open (much more common) then it will leak gas out of the overflow till the tank is empty
